There are several graphics and links available for your
use. Once you decide which graphics to use, you will need to do 5
things:
- Copy and Save the Graphic(s) you want.
- Copy and Save the HTML Code.
- Adjust the Code as necessary for your image subdirectory and
your Affiliate code.
- Embed the adjusted code into your webpage(s).
- Upload your page(s) and your graphic(s).
To save a graphic, right click on it with your mouse. Use
the "Save Picture As" function to save it to your hard drive. Please
DO NOT link to these pictures on this website - copy the graphic
for use on your own webpage.
To save the sample link code, place your cursor inside the
text box next to the graphic you want, right click and then choose
"Select All". When the coding is highlighted, press Ctrl-C
(the Control key and the C key at the same time) to copy the code.
You can then paste it (Ctrl-V) into your webpage and make
the adjustments. Remember to adjust for your image subdirectory
and your actual affiliate code. And TEST your links to make sure
they take you to the order form!!
About the HTML code in the Links:
You can use the text next to the graphics as a sample of what your
link should look like. The html coding assumes you save your images
in the same directory on your website as where you store your pages.
This is for simplicity sake, since most people actually use a separate
directory, often called "images" or "img". If
you store your graphics or images in a different location from your
html pages, please make that adjustment.
Also remember to change the "xxxxx" section to your own
affiliate code (afid) in order to get credit for the purchases made
from your site. Because we do not manage your websites, we cannot
be responsible for improperly credited sales due to links on your
site which may be coded incorrectly.
Email Links use the same basic format, however, this can
be a bit unwieldy because many email programs break the link into
two lines. For instance, here's the code:
http://www.profcs.com/app/aftrack.asp?afid=xxxxx&u=www.successfulcareertransitions.com
Often it will show up as
http://www.profcs.com/app/aftrack.asp?afid=
xxxxx&u=www.successfulcareertransitions.com
which will result in a broken link.
If you know about how to create redirect pages, you can hide the
code that way by providing a link to the page rather than using
the long code above. If you would like us to create a specific redirect
page for you, please email us at affiliates@successfulcareertransitions.com
and send your affiliate ID in the email.
